Speaking about the attack, during which Pakistan-sponsored terrorists killed 26 individuals, Modi said, "Tourism is not leisure; it is a celebration of diversity. What the terrorists did in Pahalgam was not only an attack on Indians but an attack on the very soul of humanity and the spirit of brotherhood."

He pointed out the nation's strength and solidarity, saying, "Terrorists attempted to destroy the joy of many families and create rifts among us. But today, the world sees a more united, stronger India."

Modi highlighted India's resolute and collective action against terrorism and its perpetrators: "They had sought to erase the sindoor from our daughters' foreheads and make families weep, but we gave them Operation Sindoor — a crushing blow to terrorism."

Operation Sindoor saw surgical attacks by the Indian Armed Forces on nine major terror infrastructure targets spread over Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Prime Minister also narrated Pakistan's retaliatory efforts against Indian military, civilian, and religious targets. "When we dismantled terror hubs, Pakistan retaliated in fear, but they were once again exposed. We destroyed numerous of their airbases, demonstrating India's ability to act with precision and speed."

In previous statements, Modi reiterated that Operation Sindoor is in progress and is the "new normal" for India's war against cross-border Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
